Book celebrates Omaha-Council Bluffs Yesterday & Today
Viewed together, the book’s 200-plus photographs illustrate a poignant picture of two cities’ transformations from stockyards and rail hubs, to modern day business and entertainment centers.
Natives of both cities and other long-term residents will identify with each city’s history by reading the book, while relative newcomers will discover parts of the two cities that are long gone and in doing so gain a keen appreciation for the history and success both communities have accomplished.
On March 27, 2010, Kristine Gerber and Tom Kessler will explore the world of aerial photography at a special presentation and book signing at the Durham Museum in Omaha. Gerber and Kessler are the author and photographer of Omaha-Council Bluffs Yesterday & Today. Reservations are required due to limited seating. Call Andrea Boschult at (402) 444-5071 or e-mail aboschult@durhammuseum.org.
