Omaha-Council Bluffs Yesterday and Today is a collection of vintage photographs of greater Omaha and Council Bluffs landmarks and locations taken by renowned photographers John Savage, Louis Bostwick and others that have been packaged with photos by Omaha Photographer Tom Kessler of both cities as they are today.

Viewed together, the book’s 200-plus photographs illustrate a poignant picture of two cities’ transformations from stockyards and rail hubs, to modern day business and entertainment centers.

Natives of both cities and other long-term residents will identify with each city’s history by reading the book, while relative newcomers will discover parts of the two cities that are long gone and in doing so gain a keen appreciation for the history and success both communities have accomplished.
